استفاده از تبلت به جای کامپیوتر رومیزی برای محیط کار مناسب نیست
سایت مرجعI just brought you news that one of Dell’s professional tablets made an appearance in the Microsoft Store and is now available for purchase from there.
This is not the only professional model Dell is offering, but curiously enough in a recent interview (done by Mashable), the company’s VP of Commercial Sales Operation Bobbi Dangerfield says she doesn't believe tablets in the work place amount to much.
In her own words, “the tablet is great if you’re trying to do a little email or you want to read something or whatever. But if you've got real work to do they’re still not substitute to the PC.”
Surely, the 8-inch and 11-inch Venue Pro slates are selling well enough, but the company official is not counting on them to make up the bulk of end-to-end solutions for medium-sized business.
She goes on to say she believes the tablets will get their momentum business-wise, at some point in the future.
“I look at my own kids and they’re doing stuff on their smartphones that I would need my computer to do. As you get this demographic change in the work force, different types of mobility devices like smartphone and tablets will take a bigger shape.”
“But in the meantime we've seen a lot of strength in our PC business over the course of the last quarter.”
The interviewer also asked Dangerfield about the company’s strategy when it came to dealing with the competition from Apple (some clients are thinking of making a switch to the iPad) and Samsung (with its new business focus Galaxy Note Pro).
“We talk to them a lot of about manageability and the security of, because I don’t think Apple had addressed that yet.”
Furthermore, she acknowledges Samsung as a possible threat, saying Dell is not taking anyone for granted.
